Bliss of Solitude

Niti Wattuya

22 Feb 2005 - 30 Apr 2005

After 40 years of consistently working as a painter–poet–writer, Niti Wattuya has journeyed through changing times without cease to seek for ideas and directions to represent essence–philosophy-thought–beauty through various intricate practices which imply “Naturalism”.

In the earlier years, Niti was well-known for his watercolor works and has ever since been continually observing movements and changes of the relationship between humans and the river which has been his lifetime bond. With this origin and his painting skills and technique development he has developed his work into the long-accepted “Abstract” style.

Today, Niti has turned back to creating “Realistic” works with a different approach. We could barely see any trace of thoughts that existed in his old work, yet his personality shines through and that is - Being simple, profound, and graceful structure combined with elements of seemingly effortless techniques.

Achieving that is never “simple”.
