100 Tonson Gallery is excited to present Prism, a collaboration exhibition by Pichet Klunchun and Kornkrit Jianpinidnan, curated by Thanavi Chotpradit. (The exhibition will be on view on 25th March 25th April 2010)
Known and seen internationally, more often than in Thailand, the performance of Pichet Klunchun will be, for the first time, shown in a visual art space, right downtown in the city of Bangkok.
"Prism" is the collaboration exhibition where space emerges from disciplinary encounter (performing arts and visual arts) and the parallel narratives. With his photograph book and installation, Kornkrit Jianpinidnans The House No.1 transforms 100 Tonson Gallery into a space in-between the world of Thai traditional literature and the world of reality for Pichet Klunchun to perform Ganesh .
In the obscurity of the space-in-between, there is not only a story of Ganesh losing his trunk, but also the fragments of the political situation we are facing in our present society.
Ganesh, the performance will be opened 10 rounds (approximately 1 hour each). There will be only 40 seats in each show containing complimentary refreshment, please reserve ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.
Contact 100 Tonson Gallery through email, info@100tonsongallery.com or mobile phone: 081-910-9440. The performance ticket is 1000 baht and Students: 700 baht. (Admission to the Stage Exhibition: Free)
